Yet Another Mail Merger (YAML)

Great for personalizing mass email campaigns. You’ll be able to track email open rates, clicks, replies, and bounces to know what to send next. Use Google Sheets as your mailing list.

Reason to get it: Keep your mail merger inside your Gsuite!

Last Pass

A freemium password manager that stores encrypted passwords online. The standard version of LastPass comes with a web interface, but also includes plugins for various web browsers and apps for many smartphones.

Reason to get it: Safe way to store all your 50 passwords.
Alternative: KeePassX

The Great Suspender

Make your computer run smoothly by suspending the tabs you aren’t using in Google Chrome.

Reason to get it: Save your computer’s ram from being eaten up by Chrome with this extension.

Note Taking Apps

Notion

Notion allows you have an all-in-one workspace for all your notes, to do list, Kanban boards, and wiki. They have APIs which allows you to input data into your notion.

Reason to get it: If you do project management or like taking notes this is an all in one tool.

Otter.ai

Otter Ai lets you generate rich notes for meetings, interviews, lectures, and other important voice conversations an AI-powered assistant.

Reason to get it: Get notes from your meetings instantly.

MacDown

An opensource Markdown editor for Mac OS.

Reason to get it: Beautiful interface for writing and previewing your documentation.

ToDoist

A cloud based To do list that can sync up event to your calendar. Comes with Web interface, OS X app, and mobile app.

Reason to get it: Sync up your to do list everywhere you go. They also have great content for templates.

Evernote

Note taking app. Great app integration to share your notes with others.

Reason to get it: One of the most advance note taking apps available in the market that is cloud based.

Alternative to Evernote: BearApp

The bear app is a great alternative to Evernote.

  • Advanced Markup Editor that supports and highlights over 150 programming languages
  • Encrypt individual notes and lock Bear with Face/Touch ID to protect sensitive information

Reason to get it: You love beautiful notes and care about security.

Coding Apps

Brackets

A modern, open source code editor for web programming.
Note: On September 1, 2021, Adobe will end support for Brackets, but you can fork the project on Github.

Reason to get it: My number one reason is it can render my websites within my browser with just a click of a button.

Sublime Text 3

Sublime Text is a sophisticated text editor for code, markup and prose. You’ll love the slick user interface, extraordinary features and amazing performance.

Reason to get it: Customize your IDE from within the IDE to meet your coding requirements.

iTerm

iTerm2 is a replacement for Terminal and the successor to iTerm. It works on Macs with macOS 10.14 or newer.

Reason to get it: Cooler version of the terminal with customizable features.

Metamask

A crypto wallet & gateway to blockchain apps.

Reason to get it: You need a portable crypto wallet for your ETH.
